Minimalism
Minimalism is all about simplicity and using negative space to highlight the shape and form of the subject: a distant figure on an empty beach, an insect on a petal, or a single bubble to give a few examples. This is about shape and form, texture and light, removing every element that is a distraction from the subject.

And, open prints as usual

Print Showcase
Once again we invite members to showcase a small selection of their favourite work by setting up their own mini-display.
You may show FOUR mounted prints. The prints should be mounted uniformly on 500 x 400mm (or 400 x 300mm) mountboard, and ideally represent a collected body of work.
Most of you are familiar now with the standard for mounting prints, but for a refresher please see
the PDF guide on the Tips & Tricks page

Colin Walls
Observational Photography: Colin's early approach to photography was to shoot anything that came to hand. Over years of dabbling in various genres, looking for his 'niche' he believes that he has finally found it: Observational Photography - defined by Colin as: “Seeking and finding images in unexpected places”. This talk is a tour through his more recent work. He has very refreshing and opportunistic approach, and you would be a 'fool' to miss this.
